SENIOR L&D SPECIALIST
Our client is one of Ireland's most recognisable organisations transforming into a €1bn+ digital business. They're recruiting for a Senior L&D Specialist to build digital capability across 3000+ frontline, operational, and field-based employees.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Learning & Talent Development, you'll work across the business to build digital capability and business agility. This role requires both design thinking and hands-on delivery - partnering with stakeholders to identify capability gaps and deliver scalable learning solutions that drive measurable business impact.
ABOUT THE COMPANY & L&D FUNCTION
This is one of Ireland's best-known organisations executing a major five-year digital transformation - moving from traditional operations into e-commerce, AI-driven operations, and digital financial services. They're upskilling the workforce on new digital tools and systems at pace. The L&D team is led by a Head of L&D who's knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in the digital space. Right now, digital capability and business agility are massive priorities for the business.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Design and deliver learning solutions to build digital capability and business agility
- Build and support talent development activities at management and leadership levels
- Work with executive sponsors and functional leads to identify capability gaps and validate learning needs
- Develop scalable learning plans that work across multiple locations and varying digital literacy levels
- Evaluate effectiveness of learning interventions and report on business impact
- Build strong relationships with HR Business Partners and stakeholders, influencing across all levels
- Deliver blended learning solutions (in partnership with third-party vendors where relevant)
- Research and implement L&D best practices and technologies
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5-7 years in learning and development with demonstrable experience in digital learning, talent development, or leadership solutions at enterprise level
- Experience working at scale - ideally with workforces of 1000+ employees
- Experience delivering learning at scale with large, dispersed workforces - you understand how to upskill frontline, operational, or field-based teams with varying digital literacy levels
- Strong track record in the full L&D cycle: diagnosis, design, delivery, evaluation
- Ability to articulate ROI and business impact - how you measure success, not just programme delivery
- Digital savviness: understanding of AI, automation, data literacy, learning technologies, and virtual delivery tools
- Experience designing and delivering blended learning solutions to support business transformation
- Strong stakeholder management - comfortable presenting and influencing at senior levels
- Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A third-level qualification in HR or business (desirable); professional L&D qualification (e.g. CIPD, L&DI) is a plus but not essential

- Salary: €65,000 - €70,000

HOW THEY WORK
This is a hybrid role based at their HQ in Dublin's city centre. The team works 2-3 days onsite with genuine flexibility around working hours. The Head of L&D is collaborative and detail-oriented - they want to hear about your technical approach, how you measure impact, and the results you've achieved.
