We are seeking an experienced Senior L&D Designer/Developer to join a collaborative team with our client in the banking industry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in a major business transformation project, focusing on the design and development of innovative, high-quality, blended learning solutions. You will provide oversight and subject matter expertise, ensuring all learning programs are aligned with business objectives and strategic priorities. This position requires a collaborative individual with a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills.
This is a two-year contract position that can be worked remotely from anywhere in Canada, with work hours following the Eastern time zone.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight on the design and development of learning programs, ensuring they align with business objectives and leverage common content structures.
- Act as a subject matter expert in instructional design, offering expertise in various delivery methods, including virtual classrooms, eLearning, webinars, and in-person workshops.
- Collaborate with vendors and various stakeholders, such as Learning Solution Architects, Program Managers, and Subject Matter Experts, to create and deliver effective learning solutions.
- Ensure the quality of all learning content and maintain a current understanding of industry trends, best practices, and performance consulting.
- Create content for the transformation project and assist with content translation.
- Manage project files and participate in regular project meetings.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in learning and development.
- College diploma/certificate is required.
- Proven experience in quality control and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Expertise with eLearning tools and standards (e.g., SCORM, AICC, HTML) and industry development software such as Captivate, Articulate, and Adobe Connect.
- Previous experience in the banking or financial sector is a must-have.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in a design development role.
- Experience with people management.
