About the Company
We are a diversified group with retail and other business interests, operating in a fast-moving luxury and premium environment. Our retail teams represent multiple brands across stores and malls, serving customers through strong product knowledge, clientelling, service standards, and consistent frontline execution. Learning and development is a group-level function supporting capability building across businesses, from onboarding and retail fundamentals to leadership development and digital learning. The organization is investing in practical, accessible learning that connects classroom instruction with on-floor application. This role offers visibility across brands, functions, and employee levels while working closely with the Group Head of Learning and Development. Our environment suits people who are energetic, organized, curious, and comfortable building processes and content as the function evolves. We value research-backed ideas, thoughtful experimentation, reliable execution, and the ability to build trust with store teams, brand managers, HR colleagues, and business stakeholders.
About the Role
The Learning and Development Executive will work directly with the Group Head of Learning and Development to design, deliver, and administer programmes across retail and other businesses. You will support the full learning cycle, from training needs analysis and content creation through facilitation, LMS administration, analytics, and store engagement. The role combines classroom and in-store delivery with practical coordination across brands, stores, malls, trainers, and attendees. You will help develop frontline product knowledge, clientelling, service standards, onboarding, leadership, and digital learning. This is a visible, hands-on opportunity for an early-career L&D professional to build broad experience in a luxury and premium retail environment while contributing research-backed ideas and AI-enabled learning approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom and in-store programmes covering retail fundamentals, product knowledge, clientelling, service standards, onboarding, leadership, and other capability priorities across brands.
- Create training decks, facilitator guides, quick-reference cards, assessments, and bite-sized digital learning using instructional design principles and adapted brand content.
- Administer the group LMS end-to-end, including user management, content uploads, learning-path assignment, completion tracking, reporting, and reliable learner records.
- Conduct training needs analysis with store managers and brand teams, then translate findings into relevant learning calendars, interventions, and follow-through plans.
- Support AI-enabled learning content using video-generation, content-authoring, chatbot, and other emerging tools while applying research-backed judgement to improve learning effectiveness.
- Track attendance, feedback, assessment results, and completion rates, producing monthly dashboards and reports that show participation, learning progress, and intervention priorities.
- Coordinate training logistics across stores and malls, including scheduling, venues, manpower, trainers, attendee communication, and dependable programme execution.
- Visit stores regularly to observe standards, gather frontline feedback, reinforce learning on the floor, and connect training activity with customer and business outcomes.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- 3–5 years of Learning and Development experience, including essential retail L&D exposure in frontline, store-based, or multi-brand environments; GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Hands-on LMS administration experience, with working knowledge of TNI/TNA, ADDIE or equivalent instructional design, adult learning principles, and Kirkpatrick evaluation methods.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging frontline associates, managers, store teams, brand leaders, and HR stakeholders.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, comfort with data and reporting, and exposure to AI learning tools or demonstrated curiosity about content authoring, video, and chatbot technologies.
- Excellent written and spoken English is required; Arabic is an added advantage, alongside a research mindset and willingness to test better ways of learning.
Additional Plus
- Experience with microlearning platforms or bite-sized digital learning formats is an advantage, particularly where content needs to be accessed quickly by distributed store teams.
- GCC retail experience is preferred, while strong candidates from other markets with relevant multi-brand or frontline retail training backgrounds will be considered.
- Exposure to luxury or premium retail, clientelling, product knowledge, and service standards will help the candidate contribute quickly in the shop-floor environment.
What You'll Bring
- You will bring 3–5 years of practical Learning and Development experience, with retail L&D exposure that demonstrates your ability to understand frontline realities and convert business needs into useful learning. You are comfortable facilitating groups, adapting your style for store associates and managers, and creating an engaging learning experience in classrooms and on the shop floor.
- You understand training needs analysis, instructional design, adult learning, and evaluation, and can apply these principles without overcomplicating delivery. You can administer an LMS accurately, manage learning records, interpret participation and feedback data, and turn reporting into clear next steps.
- You are confident with PowerPoint and Excel and willing to explore AI-enabled content, video, microlearning, and other tools that improve access and relevance. You communicate clearly in English, build trust quickly across levels, and treat logistics and follow-through as part of learning quality.
- Energetic, presentable, organized, curious, and reliable, you will be comfortable working in a build-from-scratch environment where research, experimentation, and hands-on execution are equally important.
