Learning Specialist (Contract) – Canadian Business Banking (CBB)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)
Duration: June 2026 – October 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $42/hour + 4% vacation pay
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Learning Specialist to support the Canadian Business Banking Learning & Development (L&D) portfolio. This role combines learning coordination, data analysis, and project delivery, supporting both large-scale enterprise initiatives and day-to-day program execution. You will work closely with the Lead Learning Solutions Architect (LSA) and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including HR, Business Banking teams, and L&D partners.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Delivery & Project Support
- Support the deployment of large-scale L&D programs (onboarding, leadership development, etc.)
- Lead low-to-medium complexity projects end-to-end
- Assist with project planning, kickoff materials, and execution tracking
- Identify and escalate risks impacting scope, timelines, or budget
Stakeholder & Coordination Support
- Act as a primary coordination point across internal teams
- Organize meetings, track deliverables, and follow up on action items
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR, and COEs
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze learning data and generate insights
- Translate findings into executive-ready presentations (PowerPoint)
- Support reporting, dashboards, and quarterly business reviews
LMS & Operations
- Manage LMS-related processes (intake, tracking, reporting)
- Support course setup, enrollment, and issue resolution
- Liaise with LMS teams and vendors where required
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve tools, workflows, and reporting
- Conduct research to support L&D recommendations and business cases
Candidate Profile
Required Experience & Skills
- 7–10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Learning & Development coordination
- Strong data analysis skills (Excel, pivot tables)
- Advanced PowerPoint storytelling for executive audiences
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (Learning certificate preferred)
- Background in Adult Education or L&D certifications
- Experience with LMS platforms
- Exposure to AI/Copilot or digital productivity tools
