HR Specialist I (Learning & Talent Development)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – onsite Tuesday to Thursday)
Contract Duration: June 15, 2026 – June 11, 2027 (extension possible)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility required)
Pay Rate: $50/hour
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist I – Learning & Talent Development to join a dynamic Global Learning team on a maternity leave contract. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a Center of Excellence (COE), contributing to strategic, data-driven learning initiatives that support business performance and growth.
You will collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to design and deliver impactful learning programs aligned with organizational goals.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage professional skills curriculum and learning pathways
- Design, enhance, and implement engaging learning programs and courses
- Partner with stakeholders to assess learning needs and drive strategic initiatives
- Leverage learning technologies (LMS/LXP) to deliver scalable solutions
- Analyze and execute data-driven insights to improve program effectiveness
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly performance reports
- Maintain SLAs and ensure high standards in reporting and program delivery
- Collaborate with project managers on milestones, planning, and execution
- Contribute to learning engagement and marketing initiatives
- Support the development of a continuous learning culture across the organization
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 5–7 years of experience in Learning & Development or related field
- Proven experience in:
- Learning program design and instructional development
- Aligning learning strategies with business objectives
- Learning technologies (LMS/LXP platforms)
- Data analytics and performance measurement
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice-to-Have
- Certifications in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or related fields
