Project Manager III – Learning & Development
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)
Duration: Initial contract through October 2026, with potential for extension and conversion
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay rate: Up to $77 per hour.
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager III to support a dynamic Learning & Development team responsible for delivering strategic learning initiatives across the organization. This role will lead medium-to-high complexity projects focused on learning solution design, development, implementation, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of Learning & Development projects.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Drive the implementation of various learning solutions, including:
- Instructor-Led Training (ILT)
- Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
- eLearning
- Webinars
- Self-directed learning pathways
- Workshops
- Develop stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
- Facilitate project status meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders at all levels.
- Support the selection, onboarding, and management of external learning vendors.
- Partner with learning teams and business stakeholders to develop delivery, launch, communication, and sustainment plans.
- Maintain strong governance processes and proactively manage project risks and issues.
- Conduct project retrospectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply Agile and hybrid project management methodologies where appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of project management experience.
- Proven experience leading projects within a Learning & Development environment.
- Experience managing medium-to-high complexity projects.
- Experience working within banking, financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies.
- Agile and/or Scrum experience.
- Advanced proficiency with:
- MS Project
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Virtual collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Webex)
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Post-secondary education required.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification.
- Agile and/or Scrum certification.
- Program management experience.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning solution development.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP).
- Familiarity with eLearning standards and tools such as:
- SCORM
- xAPI
- HTML5
- Articulate Storyline
