JOB PURPOSE
The Manager – Learning Innovation and Excellence leads the strategic development and continuous evolution of the learning innovation ecosystem for MAGRABi University.
The role is responsible for defining and governing the learning architecture, innovation strategy, systems, and operating model that enable scalable capability building across the organization.
It ensures that learning solutions, platforms, and processes effectively support business performance, organizational transformation, and capability development at scale.
The role acts as the center of excellence for learning innovation, establishing the standards, frameworks, governance, and technology-enabled solutions that shape how learning is designed, deployed, and measured across MAGRABi.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across HR, Retail, Clinical, and Business functions, the role translates organizational priorities into scalable learning strategies, capability frameworks, and high impact learning solutions that strengthen organizational performance and future readiness.
Qualifications and Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Learning, Education, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field is required
• Master’s degree is a plus
• Certification in learning, organizational development, change, digital learning, or transformation is a plus
Experience:
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in learning and development, talent development, organizational development, capability building, or business transformation
• 2-5 years of people management experience
• Proven experience designing or leading enterprise learning strategies, capability development frameworks, or learning transformation initiatives
• Experience building or improving learning systems, governance frameworks, processes, and operating models
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex cross-functional initiatives
• Experience working with senior leadership and translating business priorities into scalable learning and capability solutions
• Experience driving innovation, continuous improvement, or transformation initiatives within learning or people development environments
• Exposure to learning technologies, digital learning platforms, and learning analytics tools is preferred
• Knowledge of instructional design principles is beneficial, though deep hands-on design expertise is not required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the Learning Innovation and Excellence function within MAGRABi University
• Lead and develop the team responsible for learning solutions, innovation, systems improvement, and learning excellence.
• Define the standards, frameworks, and ways of working used to design, manage, and scale learning across the university.
• Own the continuous improvement of learning systems, processes, tools, and governance across the organization
• Lead the learning innovation and transformation agenda, including new ways of managing learning, new solution formats, and scalable approaches
• Research and introduce better practices, tools, and models to improve how learning is delivered, tracked, experienced, and managed
• Own the university approach to learning architecture, including learning journeys, pathways, academies, and structured interventions
• Govern the quality, consistency, and practicality of learning solutions developed across the university
• Prioritize the function portfolio and allocate team capacity across competing needs and transformation priorities
• Translate business and capability priorities into a clear learning innovation and solutions agenda • Lead major learning transformation projects and capability initiatives that improve how learning supports performance across the organization
• Set clear working models with Field Coaching, Retail and Optical Capability, Learning Operations, HR, Technology, and other stakeholders
• Oversee the use of external partners, digital tools, and vendors that support innovation, learning design, systems, and transformation outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement in how learning is designed, managed, deployed, and measured
