SENIOR L&D SPECIALIST
Our client is one of Ireland's most recognisable organisations undergoing major digital transformation. They're recruiting for a Senior L&D Specialist to build capability across 3,000+ employees in their Retail and Commercial divisions.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Learning & Talent Development, you'll execute learning within their established L&D framework - structured around four key capability areas: Leadership, Digital, Business Agility, and Career Development. Digital transformation is currently the priority, but you'll work across all areas. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery - partnering with stakeholders to identify capability gaps and deliver scalable learning solutions that drive measurable business impact.

Their L&D function has a clear strategic framework focused on four capability areas. This role brings that framework to life through practical, scalable delivery.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Design and deliver learning solutions to build digital capability and business agility
- Build organizational agility - helping teams respond quickly to change and building future-ready capabilities
- Design and deliver career development pathways and capability frameworks
- Build and support talent development activities at management and leadership levels
- Work with executive sponsors and functional leads to identify capability gaps and validate learning needs
- Develop scalable learning plans that work across multiple locations and varying digital confidence levels
- Manage external learning vendors and third-party partnerships
- Evaluate effectiveness of learning interventions and report on business impact
- Build strong relationships with HR Business Partners and stakeholders, influencing across all levels
- Research and implement L&D best practices and technologies
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years in learning and development with solid experience in digital learning, talent development, or leadership solutions at enterprise level
- Experience working at scale with workforces of 1,000+ employees across multiple locations
- Experience delivering learning to large, dispersed workforces - you understand how to upskill frontline, operational, or field-based teams with varying digital confidence
- Strong examples of building Business Agility and Career Development capabilities
- Experience managing external learning vendors and third-party partnerships
- Experience across the full L&D cycle: diagnosis, design, delivery, evaluation
- Ability to articulate ROI and business impact - how you measure success beyond completion rates
- Digital savviness: understanding of AI, automation, data literacy, learning technologies, and virtual delivery tools
- Experience designing and delivering blended learning solutions to support business transformation
- Strong stakeholder management - comfortable presenting and influencing at senior levels
- Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A third-level qualification in HR or business (desirable); professional L&D qualification (e.g. CIPD, L&DI) is a plus but not essential
WHAT'S ON OFFER
- Salary: €65,000 - €70,000
