The L&D Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs for two key employee groups:
- Office Staff (including departments such as Operations, Recruitment, Finance, Customer Service, etc.)
- Drivers (GSM’s delivery and transportation partners)
This role plays a critical part in building a culture of continuous learning, enhancing employee capabilities, and supporting GSM’s growth in the India
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learning Strategy & Program Design
- Develop and execute a holistic L&D strategy aligned with GSM’s business goals.
- Design tailored training programs for:
- Office Staff: onboarding, soft skills, functional skills, leadership development, performance management.
- Drivers: operational procedures, safety protocols, customer service, real-world scenario handling.
- Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads.
2. Training Delivery & Management
- Organize and facilitate in-person, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions.
- Manage learning platforms (e.g., LMS) and digital tools to support scalable training.
- Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
3. Driver Training Programs
- Develop and maintain structured training modules for drivers.
- Coordinate regular refresher courses and compliance-related training.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure drivers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
4. Team & Budget Management
- Build and lead a team of internal trainers or external facilitators.
- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective and impactful learning initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably with exposure to both white-collar and frontline workforce training.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages in the Philippines is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern learning tools, LMS platforms, and blended learning approaches.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into learning solutions.
