Learning & Development Advisor (Band 6)
9‑Month Fixed-Term Contract
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Learning & Development Advisor to join our Learning and Development team on a 9‑month fixed term contract. This role is central to supporting the delivery of high‑quality, inclusive learning and development opportunities across the Trust.
About The Role
- You will contribute to the full learning and development lifecycle, including:
- Acting as the Trust lead for our Learning Management System, ensuring high‑quality digital learning experiences.
- Producing accurate training data and reports to support compliance and workforce planning.
- Designing and delivering Trust‑wide induction programmes.
- Overseeing mandatory and statutory training (MaST) and aligning content with national frameworks.
- Supporting apprenticeships, CPD pathways, and talent development initiatives.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, the post holder will be an integral member of the team, responsible for the full learning and development lifecycle. This includes Onboarding and Induction programmes, Mandatory and Statutory Training (MaST), Apprenticeship Programmes, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and Talent Management. The role also encompasses oversight of learning technologies, including the Learning Management System (LMS) Insight and associated digital platforms. Responsibilities include the design, delivery, and commissioning of development programmes, as well as the creation of e-learning content.
As part of the core responsibilities, the post holder will be expected to identify and lead on areas of expertise within a designated portfolio, acting as a subject matter expert. This includes leading specific projects and sharing knowledge with peers to ensure consistency and continuity of service delivery aligned with our strategic priorities. Areas of expertise are indicated in bold at the top of each key responsibility.
