Overall Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Associate will assist in the upkeep of the documentation, data monitoring tables, filing and distribution of documents, and revision of current documentation and templates as required to ensure the needs of these documents for the implementation of the electronic Quality Management System are met. Agreement to work as per quality production and regulatory requirements as defined by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related to natural health and pharmaceutical products. This is part time 1 year contract.
Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance Databases to support eQMS Project as required.
- Revise SOPs under the guidance of the SMEs as required.
- Create and revise templates for documents as required.
- Gather information from product manufacturing and packaging files to incorporate in documentation as needed.
- Upload documentation and submit it to appropriate personnel for review.
- Support JWELL sites’ Quality teams to attain suitable, reviewed and updated documentation in preparation for the uploads and review into eQMS Project.
- Maintain document history files, review records and other documents’ traceability as needed.
- Revise SOPs to meet the defined templates as required for the new platforms.
- Create and upload training matrices for SOPs into the new system under the guidance of SMEs.
- Assist Quality Assurance and Compliance teams as required.
- Assist JWEL sites with documentation filing and archiving as required.
- Complete documentation requests, including photocopying/scanning, and review for clean-up projects JWEL Quality team or customers, as required.
- Working in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure. Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP-sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements
- Minimum of post-secondary education (e.g., college).
- Experience in science and technology would be an asset.
- Familiar with QMS (Quality Management Systems) or similar applications would be an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Satisfactory computer skills. Specifically with MS Office Suite.
- Superior organization and communication skills.
- Able to work and achieve results with minimum supervision.
- Work independently (self-starter) and with JWEL team-oriented focus.
- High work ethic standards are a must for a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs, when assisting with document archive projects.
- GMP Knowledge would be an asset.
