Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will design and deliver a learning and development vision that strengthens regulatory compliance, leadership capability, professional development pathways, and continuous organisational learning. This is a strategic role with significant scope to influence culture, drive innovation, and support large-scale change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation’s Learning & Talent Development Strategy.
- Design and deliver leadership programmes, coaching supports, and competency-based career pathways.
- Oversee blended learning solutions, mandatory training, induction, and digital learning tools.
- Drive organisational change and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure all training meets regulatory, professional, and compliance standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Learning & Development team.
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including education providers and regulatory bodies.
- Support talent management, supervision, and performance development across the organisation.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications
- A relevant Level 8 (or higher) qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education & Training, Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
Experience & Knowledge
- At least 7 years’ senior experience leading learning and development in a complex organisation, ideally in health, disability, or human services.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing strategic learning and development frameworks.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and workforce requirements (e.g., CORU, HIQA, compliance standards).
- Experience managing teams, budgets, and diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
- Experience with digital learning transformation, learning management systems, and modern learning technologies.
Desirable Criteria
- Postgraduate qualification in Education, Leadership, Organisational Development, or Strategic HRM.
- Familiarity with person-centred service models and approaches used within the intellectual disability or broader human services sector.
