Are you passionate about talent assessment and development? Do you want to lead in the design and deployment of pre-employment and talent assessments? We are looking for a Talent Assessment Specialist to provide advice, direction, as well as support on talent assessment design and implementation.
In this role, you’ll lead WorkSafeBC in the design and deployment of pre-employment and talent assessments across the organization. The Talent Assessment Specialist will partner with testing vendors and clients to design and implement innovative assessments that help identify top talent for various roles. The incumbent plays a key role as a leader and will utilize their subject matter expertise to influence decision-making, representing the organization’s character, leadership and organizational values, and applying a proactive, creative, collaborative approach to finding business and people solutions.
This job requires discretion and tact in handling confidential and sensitive management information relating to WorkSafeBC’s operations and regulations.

Where you’ll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you will work primarily from our Richmond office, with some flexibility in working from your home in B.C.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Work as an effective member of the management team and acts as a subject matter expert on matters related to talent assessment; identifies issues for resolution and provides ongoing advice, expertise and decision-making support on talent development matters; liaise with other staff and managers in the department and/or division.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, guidelines, programs and systems in area of responsibility, acts on opportunities for continuous improvement, and provides consistent and clear guidance and recommendations.
- Lead the pre-employment assessment design and implementation process.
- Manage the design and implementation of the talent development assessment process.
Your background and experience
- A master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources or related discipline
- A minimum of five (5) years of related experience supporting pre-employment testing, organizational development, or talent development preferably within a large complex organization
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
