The Opportunity
Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for a
Learning & Development Specialist to join our team in
Coquitlam, British Columbia. As the Learning & Development Specialist, you will strengthen workforce capability, support a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure employees are equipped with the skills, behaviours, and knowledge required for safe, consistent, and high-quality performance in alignment with organizational goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Learning & Development Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate in-person, virtual, and blended workshops for continued skill development, product knowledge, and training in support of new technology launches and/or advancements for employees and customers
- Develop and modernize learning resources and program materials for onboarding and Sales and Service/Technician training, including supporting scheduling in-field training
- Deliver high-impact online, in-person, and blended learning experiences across onboarding and leadership development programs, using best practices and learner-centered methods of adult learning
- Review and analyze learner feedback and participation data to make recommendations on future program refinement to further learning outcomes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, maintain, and grow actionable L&D initiatives that contribute to the overall L&D strategy
- Coordinate logistics and delivery of learning workshops and online events including externally delivered programs
- Present learning summaries and analysis to executives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience developing and delivering learning content for adults, preferably in large organizational settings leveraging adult learning principles
- Adult education, curriculum development and/or instructional design certification is preferred
- Experience with Learning Management Systems, such as Docebo, is an asset
- Experience with Articulate and/or other content authoring platforms and instructional design tools
- Superior Microsoft Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong track record of developing, delivering, and championing blended and online learning solutions for diverse audiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and to receive and strategically apply feedback
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Open to continuous learning, able to work with minimal supervision, and resilient when facing challenges

The base pay range for this role is: $70,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience.
