JOB SUMMARY
This role is for a 14 month contract.
Reporting to the Manager of Learning & Development, The Learning & Development Trainer facilitates the delivery of training and learning solutions to Eye Recommend members and their teams. This position is responsible for the execution of all training programs using a variety of techniques including classroom training, in-office training, online training, and other technologies. The Learning & Development Trainer, in partnership with the Business Coaches, identifies and assesses the training needs of members. The Trainer then recommends and facilitates skills training, new hire orientation and other training programs to address the needs of the team and the practice. The successful candidate must live in British Columbia - preferably the Vancouver area.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide training and/or support at Eye Recommend and industry events.
- Facilitate all training programs with a high degree of professionalism and organization – our goal is to provide a second to none training experience.
- Communicate and collaborate with the Business Coaches on areas that they can assist for member in-office training, assessments and opportunities.
- Support training colleagues as required in creation, organization, and sharing ideas.
- Provide direction to ER Members and Office Managers on training implementation, procedures and best practices or all other inquiries as needed.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- Provincial license or certification by a nationally accredited association such as an Optician or Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA)

- Willing and able to travel throughout the region as needed - British Columbia and Manitoba
