Provide end‑to‑end learning and development services - needs analysis, calendar build, vendor management, budget control, delivery logistics, and effectiveness reporting supporting UAE terminals today and GCC expansion tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Needs Analysis
- Consolidate training needs from performance reviews and HRBP consultations.
- Analyze competency gaps and prioritise programs against business strategy and budget.
Annual Training Calendar & Budget
- Draft a comprehensive L&D calendar and implementation plan in coordination with Operations and support functions.
- Develop, monitor, and re‑forecast the annual training budget; produce monthly variance reports.
- Recommend cost‑optimization measures (in‑house delivery, virtual learning, shared GCC roll‑outs).
Program Design & Vendor Management
- Maintain and continuously update the Training Directory / LMS with internal and external offerings.
- Identify new courses and expert vendors, including DP World Institute and overseas partners.
- Negotiate pricing and service levels; evaluate provider quality against DP World standards.
Logistics & Delivery Execution
- Arrange all course logistics - enrolment letters, fee payment, travel, visas, accommodation - on time and within policy.
- Coordinate in‑house sessions with DP World trainers or virtual platforms; serve as class facilitator if needed.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, security, and quality procedures for on‑site training.
Data Management & Effectiveness Evaluation
- Record all training completions and certificates in Oracle HRMS / LMS accurately and promptly.
- Collect participant feedback, calculate ROI metrics, and prepare quarterly effectiveness dashboards.
- Present root‑cause actions for low‑effectiveness programs to L&D Manager and HRBPs.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support competency‑framework updates, audits, and ad‑hoc talent projects (succession planning, policy refresh).
- Lead or participate in GCC‑wide or global roll‑outs of new learning technologies and initiatives.
- Mentor junior HR staff in L&D processes to build future leadership bench.
Technical Competencies:
- Learning Management Systems (Oracle, Cornerstone, or similar)
- Virtual classroom tools (Teams, Zoom, Articulate)
- Learning Management Systems: Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Oracle LMS, Cornerstone, or an equivalent platform; trains others on course upload, enrolment workflows, and reporting dashboards.
- Budget Tracking & Cost Analysis: Builds and maintains annual L&D budgets; analyses actual‑vs‑plan variances using Excel / Power BI and recommends corrective actions.
- Vendor Sourcing & Contracting: Identifies, evaluates, and negotiates with external training providers; ensures commercial terms and service‑level metrics meet DP World standards.
- Virtual Classroom Tools: Sets up and facilitates live‑online sessions using Teams, Zoom, or Articulate; troubleshoots technical issues to maintain a seamless learner experience.
