Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Project Manager / Learning & Development who will lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of medium-to-high complexity L&D projects. The successful candidate will support the implementation of learning solutions in various formats, including instructor-led training, eLearning, webinars, and workshops. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, a solid foundation in project governance, and the ability to align learning initiatives with business priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the overall portfolio/program movement and align assigned projects with business priorities.
- Drive learning and development processes to implement learning solutions across multiple delivery formats (in-person, virtual ILT, eLearning, webinars, self-directed learning pathways, and workshops).
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of L&D projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Support vendor selection, engagement, and onboarding when third-party learning solutions are in scope.
- Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies and maintain strong communication with internal and external partners.
- Report on project progress, risks, and issues to project teams and business stakeholders at various levels.
- Partner with L&D Centers of Excellence and business partners to support delivery strategy, change communications, and maintenance plans.
- Ensure strong governance, risk management, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct project retrospectives and apply lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging trends in project management, including Agile and hybrid methodologies.
- Actively participate in the broader project management community to share expertise and foster professional growth.
Desired Skill Set:
- 8 years of proven project management experience with medium to high complexity projects.
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing business priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Solid understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies.
Nice to Have:
- Agile and/or Scrum experience.
- PMP, Agile, and/or Scrum certification.
- Prior experience in L&D, including performance consulting, design, development, facilitation, or learning technologies.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles for various delivery methods.
- Experience with LMS/LXP platforms and eLearning tools (e.g., SCORM, xAPI, HTML5, Articulate Storyline).
- Strong virtual facilitation skills using collaboration tools such as MS Teams and Webex.
