Scope Of The Role
The EHS Training Coordinator / Administrator is responsible for the planning, coordination, administration, and reporting of all EHS training activities across the organisation. The role ensures accurate record management, effective training delivery, and alignment with company, project, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role
Training Coordination & Administration
- Coordinate and schedule EHS training across projects and departments, liaising with HR, EHS teams, site management, and external providers.
- Manage training requests and maintain the central training schedule, ensuring all required information (learner details, cost codes, locations) is accurate and up to date.
- Support recording and maintaining training completions within the Learning Management System (LMS), including uploading certifications and supporting documentation.
- Support project teams with LMS Project Team / Profile management
- Process training-related invoices in line with scheduled training activities and cost allocations.
- Support development and coordination of new training courses and initiatives as required.
LMS Management & Reporting
- Act as system administrator for the LMS (system of record for all EHS training).
- Provide first-line support to users, including troubleshooting access issues, incorrect records, and completion queries.
- Monitor training compliance through reporting, tracking, and gap analysis; work with project teams to implement corrective actions.
- Owner of Power-BI LMS performance metrics slides – with support from Analytics Team
- Support audits of training records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage effectively with internal stakeholders including EHS, HR, Finance, IT, and project teams to facilitate training delivery.
- Support site teams and EHS leads in identifying and fulfilling training requirements.
- Provide responsive and professional support to employees regarding training queries and requests.
HR & Compliance
- Work closely with HR to ensure all employees are correctly set up and aligned within the LMS.
- Support onboarding processes by ensuring new hires are assigned required training.
- Ensure all activities comply with GDPR and company data protection policies.
- Operate in line with Mercury Engineering policies and procedures, adopting a proactive and compliant approach.
Finance & Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with Finance to ensure accurate billing and cost allocation of training activities to projects.
- Support the setup and coordination of training vendors where required.
General Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide administrative and operational support to the EHS function as required.
- Assist in continuous improvement of training processes, systems, and reporting.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support evolving business needs and training requirements.
- Undertake additional duties relevant to the role.
Essential Criteria For The Role
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and digital systems/LMS platforms.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Problem-solving ability with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
- Desirable - Train-the-trainer qualification
