Job Purpose:
To provide business driven learning and development inputs to Mashreq Egypt in order to enhance the knowledge base, understand and technical competencies of employees.
Key Result Areas:
- Organize, coordinate and conduct appropriately structured orientation programs for all new recruits to familiarize them with the Bank’s policies, organization structure, products and services.
- Identify and analyze banking and finance training needs of employees and to assist in the design and delivery of suitable programs.
- Liaise with guest speakers, line managers and external training institutions as authorized to arrange need based training inputs.
- Prepare training material / manuals in specific training areas and continually improve training methos to facilitate dissemination of information.
- Keep abreast of all banking developments / reading material to constantly update knowledge base in order to provide qualitative inputs.
- Develop and coordinate the quarterly training calendar.
- Ensure that each staff has a PDP and follow up on the completion on the agreed upon training and development activities.
- Prepare L&D monthly reports.
Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships:
Liaise with relevant divisions to understand their training needs and deliver their requirements in accordance with the Training / Credit / Operations policies and as per the product manuals and service procedures.
Problem Solving:
- To manage the effective participation of trainees.
- To quickly arrange for answers and inputs requested during courses even if beyond the scope of the immediate training programme.
Decision Making Authority & Responsibility:
- Select appropriate training aids, exercises, case studies, handouts, etc..
- Take joint responsibility for identifying and implementing alternate channels of training.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- The incumbent should be a management graduate with banking qualification. Have minimum 7 years of banking experience; Experience in commercial banking will be a distinct preference.
- Relevant training design and delivery experience for a minimum 3 years within or outside Mashreq is an essential attribute.
- Role holder should have strong communication and inter-personal skills.
- Proficiency in computer application and software is required.
