Role Purpose
The Learning & Development Specialist designs, delivers, and evaluates training and capability-building programs that strengthen workforce readiness at Lenovo Manufacturing KSA. Reporting to the L&D Lead, the role supports the full learning lifecycle, from needs analysis to impact measurement, with particular focus on manufacturing skills development, onboarding, and cross-cultural collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Lenovo's China operations.
Key Responsibilities
Program Design & Delivery
- Conduct training needs analyses across manufacturing, operations, and support functions to identify capability gaps.
- Design and develop learning content, courses, and workshops aligned to business objectives and Lenovo's global standards.
- Facilitate classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions for technical and soft-skill development.
- Manage onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, including trainee cohorts.
Cross-Cultural & Global Collaboration
- Support learning initiatives with Lenovo's China-based teams, including trainee deployments and knowledge-transfer programs at sites.
- Develop cross-cultural resources and briefings to support Saudi–China workforce integration.
- Act as a liaison between local and global L&D stakeholders to ensure program consistency.
Measurement & Reporting
- Track and analyze learning metrics (completion rates, mentor coverage, satisfaction scores, total training hours).
- Prepare reporting and dashboards on L&D outcomes for review by the L&D Lead and executive audiences.
- Recommend improvements based on data and participant feedback.
Operations & Administration
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), training records, and scheduling.
- Coordinate with external vendors, training providers, and assessment platforms.
- Support psychometric and competency assessments for candidate and talent evaluation.
- Ensure all programs comply with Lenovo policy, local labor regulations, and HRDF/relevant KSA training mandates.
- Onboard new employees and deliver orientation sessions, including the company profile, organizational structure, and workplace policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, MIS, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Talent Development, preferably within manufacturing, technology, or a multinational environment.
- Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating training programs end-to-end.
- Experience with LMS platforms and learning analytics/reporting.
- Exposure to cross-cultural or international work environments is an advantage.
- Deliver training and conduct workshops across technical and soft-skill areas for employees and trainee cohorts.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong instructional design and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities (English required; Arabic strongly preferred).
- Data literacy - able to translate learning metrics into clear insights.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Power Bi, and reporting tools.
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Certifications such as CIPD, ATD, SHRM, PHRi, or instructional design credentials.
- Experience with psychometric assessment tools.
- Familiarity with Saudi labor market programs (HRDF, Saudization initiatives).
