About The Role
We're looking for a Learning & Development leader who combines strategy, creativity, and executional excellence. This role is the heartbeat of Mirai's "iterate to greatness" culture — designing and delivering experiences that empower our people, elevate our performance, and evolve our studio. You'll own the full learning lifecycle: strategy, execution, tracking, and delivery balancing visionary planning with hands-on facilitation. You'll lead by example, embodying the leadership standards and Mirai studio tenets that define who we are.
Beyond accountability for shaping learning internally, you'll also curate and manage external partners, ensure internal experts can teach and inspire, drive the learning calendar, and own the digital learning ecosystem that enables continuous development. Working in close partnership with the Transformation team, you'll help integrate AI and automation to make learning smarter, faster, and more personalized.
What You'll Do
Strategic Planning
- Design and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy that aligns with annual Studio goals, Mirai tenets and culture, and evolving skill needs of the teams
- Translate studio values and leadership principles into actionable learning experiences that build capability and character across all levels
Execution, Delivery & Reporting
- Design and drive the delivery of annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly learning initiatives across the Studio in alignment with key stakeholders
- Deliver engaging workshops, leadership programs, and team training sessions, bringing insight and energy to every experience
- Enable internal subject matter experts to share knowledge effectively by coaching them in facilitation techniques and learning design, fostering a strong internal teaching culture
- Provide accurate and timely L&D reports to Studio Leadership to ensure visibility, alignment, and cross-department communication
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Establish clear success metrics and feedback loops to evaluate learning impact, drive accountability, and support continuous improvement
- Utilize multiple data sources — including performance metrics, department goals, Job Function Analysis (JFA), and learner feedback — to evolve programs, automate repetitive processes, and enhance learner engagement
Digital Learning Ownership
- Implement and manage the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring data accuracy, quarterly reporting, and seamless integration with the Studio ERP
- Oversee the LMS and other digital learning platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Learning) to ensure learning content remains relevant, accessible, and impactful
- Collaborate with the Transformation Team to embed AI and automation into L&D systems, enabling personalized learning experiences and predictive insights
Partnerships & Providers
- Select, coordinate, and evaluate external learning providers to ensure high standards of quality, creativity, and relevance
- Manage contracts, budgets, and vendor performance in collaboration with the Operations Team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency and excellence across all learning initiatives
- Ensure annual alignment with MISA incentive requirements for Learning & Development, including quarterly reporting and the timely preparation and organization of all required documentation for incentive submissions
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with Studio Leadership, Department Heads, and the HR Team to identify learning needs, close skill gaps, and promote growth at every level of the organization
- Role model curiosity, empathy, self-improvement, and high-quality standards, creating a culture where learning is embedded into daily work rather than treated as an afterthought
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, ideally within fast-paced or creative industries
- Proven success in owning and delivering end-to-end L&D strategy, program design, and implementation
- Strong experience in vendor selection and management, including contract oversight and quality evaluation
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
- Hands-on experience with learning platforms, digital tools, and AI-driven learning systems
- Strong facilitation and content creation skills, with a passion for developing people and leaders
- Demonstrated expertise in Learning Design and adult learning methodologies
- Analytical mindset with the ability to design meaningful metrics and interpret data to demonstrate tangible learning impact
- Deep expertise in conducting comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify skill gaps and develop impactful learning strategies
- A proactive and collaborative leader who embodies Mirai's tenets and upholds high standards of integrity, accountability, innovation, and excellence
