Learning & Development Project Manager (Contract)
📍 Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)
💼 Contract: May 2026 – October 2026 (extension possible)
💲 $77/hour + 4% vacation pay
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of training initiatives for a collaborative and high-performing team.
This role is ideal for a strong project manager who brings hands-on experience managing learning or training programs and can confidently oversee complex projects from planning through execution. You will play a key role in ensuring learning solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business priorities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of L&D projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing
- Manage timelines, budgets, risks, and project scope using tools such as MS Project
- Coordinate the development and deployment of training programs, including:
- Instructor-led training (ILT)
- eLearning
- Webinars and workshops
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive delivery
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communication strategies
- Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues
- Support vendor selection, onboarding, and management when required
- Ensure strong governance and reporting across all project phases
- Contribute to continuous improvement through project retrospectives
- Align learning initiatives with broader business goals and strategy
What You Bring
✅ Must-Have
- 5–10 years of Project Management experience
- Proven experience managing Learning & Development or training-related projects
- Strong experience with MS Project and MS Office Suite
- Experience delivering medium to high complexity projects
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
⭐ Nice-to-Have
- Experience in banking, financial services, or insurance
- PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification
- Familiarity with tools such as Confluence or Tableau
- Experience with LMS platforms or eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate, SCORM, xAPI)
- Background in learning design, development, or performance consulting
