The Assistant Manager – Talent Management & Development is responsible for supporting the design and execution of talent strategies that enhance organizational capability and performance.
The role focuses on managing performance processes, developing talent pipelines, driving learning initiatives, and supporting employee engagement efforts.
With a strong emphasis on fostering a high-performance culture, this role contributes to building a motivated workforce, enhancing employee experience, and ensuring alignment between individual performance and organizational objectives.
Core Responsibilities
Talent Management & Performance
- Support the end-to-end performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year, and year-end reviews.
- Ensure alignment between individual objectives and organizational strategy.
- Facilitate calibration sessions to ensure consistency and fairness across functions.
- Monitor performance outcomes and provide insights to HR and business leaders.
- Support managers in driving effective performance discussions and feedback.
Learning & Development
- Support the development and execution of the annual learning and development plan.
- Identify capability gaps and recommend appropriate development initiatives.
- Coordinate internal and external training programs, including leadership development.
- Track training effectiveness and evaluate return on investment (ROI).
Succession Planning & Talent Development
- Support the development and maintenance of succession plans for critical roles.
- Identify high-potential employees and track development plans.
- Assist in career pathing and internal mobility initiatives.
- Facilitate talent review discussions with stakeholders.
Culture Development and Employee Engagement
- Support the design and rollout of employee engagement surveys and initiatives.
- Analyze engagement results and support the development of action plans with business leaders.
- Assist in implementing recognition and retention programs.
- Contribute to initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Support internal communication efforts to enhance transparency and employee experience.
Policies, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure all talent management practices align with company policies and governance frameworks.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of HR policies related to performance, development, and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional Certifications: CIPD level 5 and/or SHRM are preferred
Years of Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development.
- Experience in performance management frameworks and employee engagement initiatives
- Exposure to succession planning and talent development programs
- Experience in fast-paced or startup environments is preferred
