The Opportunity
Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for an experienced
Learning and Development Manager to join our team in
Langley, British Columbia. As the Learning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing learning strategies that support employee development, leadership growth, and organizational capability. This role partners closely with business leaders and the rest of the People and Culture team to identify training needs, develop scalable programs, and foster a culture of continuous learning across all levels of the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Learning and Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with business goals and the people and culture strategy
- Provide management and leadership to the learning and development team
- Conduct training needs assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to identify skill gaps and development opportunities
- Design and deliver engaging learning programs, including onboarding, technical training, sales training, leadership development, and compliance training
- Evaluate program effectiveness through metrics, feedback, and performance outcomes; continuously improve based on insights
- Manages learning platforms and tools, ensuring accessibility and user engagement
- Lead initiatives to build a learning culture, including mentorship programs, career development pathways, and knowledge sharing
- Partner with external vendors and consultants as needed to deliver specialized training
- Support change management and organizational development initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Minimum of five years of experience in learning and development
- Minimum of three years of leadership experience
- Proven experience designing and implementing training programs across diverse employee groups
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and instructional design skills
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and blended learning approaches
- Excellent project management skills and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools. Prior experience with Docebo would be an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field

The base pay range for this role is: $115,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience, plus an annual bonus.
