Key Responsibilities
- Learning and Development Strategy and Planning: Develop a global learning and development strategy, roadmap, and annual budget that are closely aligned with the Group's long-term business strategy and talent strategy. Lead global training needs analysis, work with business leaders and HRBP to accurately identify skills gaps, and prioritize training investments. Establish and monitor key performance indicators for global training and development to measure training effectiveness and impact on the business.
- Training System Design and Curriculum Development: Lead the construction and operation of the Group's global leadership development system, providing systematic development programs for core talents, high-potential employees, and leaders at all levels. Lead the design of technical capability models and career development pathmaps for core functions of the oilfield services business (such as engineering technology, field operations, project management, etc.), and develop corresponding learning courses. Ensure that the global content of all mandatory training (such as HSE, compliance, and anti-bribery) is consistent, updated, and meets local regulatory requirements. Promote digital learning strategies, integrate, and optimize blended learning models (such as online learning, virtual classrooms, offline workshops, and on-the-job practice).
- Learning Technology and Operations Management: Responsible for the strategy, selection, implementation, and continuous optimization of global learning management systems and other learning technology platforms. Establish and standardize global training operations processes, including supplier management, internal instructor management, course delivery, and training record maintenance. Optimize the allocation of global training resources to achieve economies of scale and cost-effectiveness.
- Business Partner and Performance Consulting: As the top expert in the field of learning and development, provide consulting services to business leaders and HRBPs to transform business challenges into executable learning solutions. Deeply participate in key business transformation projects (such as digitalization and new energy transformation) to ensure that organizational capacity building and employee skill reshaping during the transformation process are effectively supported. Pay special attention to the accessibility and effectiveness of training for front-line operation teams and project personnel in difficult areas.
- Corporate Culture and Talent Development: Integrate corporate core values, safety culture, and inclusive culture into all aspects of learning and development. Manage core learning projects related to executive development and succession planning. Cultivate and certify a team of high-level internal instructors and subject matter experts to pass on internal organizational knowledge.
- Team Leadership and Global Collaboration: Lead, motivate, and develop a professional global learning and development team. Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices among training teams in various regions around the world. Manage strategic partnerships with external training institutions, universities, and industry organizations.
Key Qualifications:
- Educational background: Master's degree or above in human resource development, organizational psychology, business administration, or related fields.
- Work experience: At least 10 years of experience in learning and development, including more than 8 years in regional or global training leadership positions in large multinational companies.
- Industry experience: Must have extensive experience in oil and gas services, energy, heavy industry, or similar high-risk, technology-intensive industries, and a deep understanding of the extreme importance of HSE training.
- Professional skills: Proven success record in leadership development, technical training system construction, and digital learning transformation. Proficient in training needs analysis, effect evaluation methods, and learning technology application. Excellent course design and teaching system design capabilities.
- Leadership qualities: Excellent strategic thinking, influence, and stakeholder management capabilities. Strong project management and global project delivery capabilities. Business-focused, able to clearly articulate the value of learning and development to business results.
- Language requirements: Fluency in English is a must; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is preferred.
- Others: Able to adapt to working in different time zones around the world and willing to make necessary international travel to understand the needs of the front line of business.
