The Team
The Global Learning & Talent team serves over 5,000 people from over 60 offices across both fee earner and business services teams and provides specialist advice and learning solutions across a broad remit including: professional core skills training, continuing legal education, talent development programs, talent planning, coaching, career development initiatives and practice area or business specific requirements.
The Role
This role serves as a business partner to the MEA region as part of the firm’s global centre of excellence for learning and talent. This role will partner with regional HR business partners and stakeholders in the business to drive higher performance and growth in the MEA region, whilst also supporting the team’s global strategy and priorities, equipping key stakeholder groups with essential professional development and behavioural skills, enabling successful career progression across the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design of engaging and impactful learning solutions (digital and in-person) for diverse audiences, partnering with internal and external subject matter experts where required and ensuring global content is leveraged first.
- Collaborate with the Global Early Careers Programme Lead to support development of our Early Careers population, supporting the facilitation in particular of the second phase of the hybrid KSA Trainee Programme in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that mandatory requirements are tracked and reported.
- Engage stakeholders to understand team and individual skills gaps, translating these into appropriate development solutions.
- Oversee the planning and scheduling of the regional learning calendar and talent programme nominations process.
- Ensure that learning administration support delivered from the central service centre (UK based) is of a high quality and in compliance with regional and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the learning administration support receive clear instructions and that they are entering data in the Learning Management System (My Development) correctly, ensuring accuracy in enrolments, completions, feedback and reporting.
- Oversee budget and spend tracking in line with global L&T processes, ensuring good financial hygiene by ensuring all expenses are submitted within 28 days and all invoices are processed within 14 days of being received.
- Analyse data and produce insightful metrics and reports to inform decision-making and demonstrate learning impact, providing regular dashboard reports to regional and global leadership as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes and the sharing of best practices within the global Learning and Talent team.
- Actively expand knowledge across a broad range of learning topics and formats.
- Develop and implement engaging marketing strategies to promote the global learning and development portfolio to colleagues across the region.
- Maintain the firm’s external coaching offering and internal mentoring capability.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Experienced learning and development professional, accustomed to working in environments undergoing significant transformation and modernization.
- Comfortable working at pace in sometimes ambiguous situations with strong project management skills, attention to detail and a solution focused, pragmatic approach.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Communicates clearly and in a timely manner with the ability to partner, advise and influence at all levels of the business whilst managing expectations appropriately.
- Proven experience in learning design and delivery, with the desire for further development in experiential learning design and facilitation.
- Strategically minded, confident in problem solving, able to work with minimal supervision, knowing when to escalate issues to leadership.
