We are excited to be searching for a Head of Learning and Development to join the People Team at Gaucho Restaurants. The primary function is to provide comprehensive training, coaching, developing and implementing the L&D strategy to support the People and the Operations team and for all Gaucho staff at all levels to drive high performance, achieve the learning and development objectives, all whilst consistently meet brand standards.
You will lead and manage the nationwide training team taking a strategic approach to brand wide interventions and solutions, the focus of this role will be shaping careers as well as increasing employee engagement. You will also work to continuously reflect, coordinate and promote process improvement and development at all levels within the business, encouraging collaborative working, in order to reach full employee development potential.

The successful candidate:
- Has a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience within training role, with previous exposure of facilitating training for various different departments at a multi-site level.
- Strategic vision: Ability to think strategically and execute on that vision using innovative approaches and embraces evolving the latest technologies.
- Strong systems experience of leading LMS management and dynamic content creation.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities across all levels across the business as well as managing the wider training team.
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and measure the impact of L&D programs.
- Ability to manage up and down, strong communications skills and at ease when discussing organisational design with senior leaders
- L&D knowledge and market trends: Deep understanding of L&D practices – including the evolution towards skills-based organization - and trends.
Responsibilities
- The Head of Learning & Development will asses the needs of the company through collaboration with Head of Departments, observation and side-by-side working using industry knowledge and also creating and delivering bespoke development packages for all departments.
- Support the L&D Manager to organise the annual training calendar to ensure the efficient facilitation of the Gaucho L.A.B: The company’s induction training programme for the new starters: training location facilitation, managing the training calendar, kitchen prep, attendance, trainers rotas, journals, wastage, allocate hours on Fourth.
- Planning and delivering L&D strategy, frameworks and the continuous development of the L&D team.
- Full accountability of the brand’s L&D budget, reviews and reporting.
- Ownership of new openings, operational standards and steps of service.
- Accountability for the brand’s E Learning platform, all Management development and company career pathways

**This role is required 5 days a week in Gaucho Head Office in Oxford Circus, London - with some travel to our regional and London restaurants. Critically the successful candidate must have experience of Learning & Development within hospitality**
