Learning & Development Specialist – Insurance Brokerage
This is a new position in a successful, high-performing team with one of the GTA’s leading insurance brokerages. This position has plenty of career runway, with the successful candidate ideally transitioning to the executive leadership team in the future.
Are you an insurance professional with experience in both Personal and Commercial insurance? Are you process-driven and detail-oriented? Are you someone who enjoys training and coaching colleagues on best practices, standard operating procedures, and tech systems? This Learning & Development opportunity will play a crucial role in the onboarding and training of our clients' service brokers from an operations and systems standpoint.
**Note – sales training is not part of the mandate; internal sales managers handle this.
What will you do?
- Design and implement workflows and internal procedures
- Lead training for brokers on operating systems (Applied Epic)
- Create a robust onboarding program for new hires
- Monitor broker adherence to standard operating procedures
- Take a process-improvement approach to internal operations
What do you need to succeed?
- (Preferably) 10+ years of insurance experience
- Experience with both personal and commercial insurance
- Solid systems experience with Compu-Quote, Policy Works, and Applied Epic
- Past experience training/coaching staff
- Excellent communication skills to train/onboard colleagues
- Leadership qualities – ability to earn the respect of the team
