We are partnering with a purpose-driven non-profit organisation to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Learning & Development Specialist. Working as part of the People/HR team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation's learning and development agenda. You will work closely with managers and colleagues across the organisation to understand learning needs, develop engaging solutions and create a culture where continuous learning and development are encouraged.
About the role
As Learning & Development Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering a varied portfolio of learning and development activity, ensuring that programmes are aligned with organisational priorities and have a positive impact on colleagues and the people they support.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and delivering the organisation's annual learning and development plan.
- Working with managers and teams to identify learning and capability needs.
- Designing and coordinating engaging learning programmes, workshops and development initiatives.
- Facilitating training sessions, both in person and virtually.
- Supporting the design and delivery of leadership and management development programmes.
- Developing learning resources, toolkits and digital learning content.
- Managing relationships with external training providers and learning partners.
- Supporting induction and onboarding programmes to ensure new colleagues have a positive start.
- Promoting continuous professional development and a culture of learning across the organisation.
- Supporting career development, talent development and succession planning initiatives.
- Evaluating the effectiveness and impact of learning interventions, using feedback and data to continually improve.
- Maintaining accurate learning records and supporting compliance-related training requirements.
- Staying up to date with emerging L&D trends, technologies and best practice.
- Contributing to wider People/HR projects and organisational development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Learning & Development, Talent Development or similar role.
- Experience designing, coordinating and delivering learning programmes.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences.
- Experience working with managers and stakeholders to identify and address development needs.
- An understanding of adult learning principles and different learning methodologies.
- Experience using learning management systems and/or digital learning platforms.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to translate organisational needs into practical and engaging learning solutions.
- A collaborative, approachable and inclusive style.
- Train the trainer qualification
- Full driving license and access to a car
