We are looking for a Learning & Development Partner to join our People team. Reporting directly to the People Director, you will be instrumental in sustaining, refining and evolving our core L&D offering. You will be passionate about fostering a culture of continuous learning – delivering high-quality, measurable development initiatives and partnering with the wider People team to ensure organisational readiness for the future.
- 3-5+ years’ experience in a dedicated Learning & Development role, preferably within a Technology organisation
- Proven experience in designing and delivering core L&D programmes for hybrid and globally distributed teams
- Demonstrated ability to source, evaluate and manage external vendors for targeted, skill-specific training
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with high attention to detail
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience or strong interest in upskilling and reskilling for emerging technologies like AI
- Ability to analyse data and generate insights to inform L&D strategy and measure real impact
- Highly adaptable, with a thoughtful approach to tailoring solutions and approach for the needs of the business and audiences
- Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships with People Partners to understand, anticipate and deliver against stakeholder learning and development needs
Programme Management & Delivery
- Maintain and continuously refine existing L&D initiatives – including Foundry’s Mentoring programme, Guilds, management training and People Skills resources – identifying opportunities for simplification and automation
- Assess L&D needs and recommend external training partners to deliver targeted, skill-specific learning content that builds internal capability
- Own end-to-end logistics for all L&D initiatives, including scheduling, communications, venues and seamless coordination with external partners, ensuring seamless programme delivery
- Proactively curate and recommend high-quality internal and external learning resources (e.g. articles, podcasts, online courses and books) mapped to our People Skills Framework to empower self-directed development
- Manage the L&D budget with the People Director, prioritising critical needs and identifying cost-effective, high-impact solutions within allocated budgets
- Maintain and continuously improve L&D content and resources, including Confluence pages – ensuring documentation is current, accessible and engaging
- Design and deliver internal L&D programmes where appropriate to address specific organisational needs
Talent Development
- Partner with the People Director and People Partners to identify learning needs across the business and translate insights into actionable L&D priorities
- In partnership with the People Director, assess future skill requirements aligned to Foundry’s 2030 Vision, map gaps against current role capabilities, and design targeted reskilling and upskilling programmes with external partners
- Work with the People team to ensure all employees have effective development plans, supported by relevant L&D resources and programmes
- Maintain and evolve our Career and People Skills Frameworks, ensuring L&D initiatives are aligned to career progression pathways and support internal mobility
- Collaborate with managers to increase the use of Annual Personal Development Time, encouraging employee ownership of personal development
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and implement clear metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of L&D programmes
- Gather, analyse and apply participant feedback to continuously improve L&D initiatives and ensure alignment with evolving business needs
- Prepare and present quarterly L&D reports with actionable insights and recommendations for the People Director and Chief People Officer
- Develop and deliver engaging internal communications to promote L&D programmes and resources, driving employee awareness and participation
- Maintain accurate records of training attendance and completion to support reporting and compliance
- Regularly assess the effectiveness and relevance of L&D programmes against current and future business needs, implementing improvements where needed
