Role Description The Instructional Designer & Moodle Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in San Ġiljan. This role designs, develops, and updates online and blended learning experiences across Bachelor, Masters, and Doctoral programs, ensuring alignment with EU Global’s project-based and evidence-driven teaching approach. Day-to-day tasks include conducting learning needs assessments, creating and revising curricula, developing digital learning materials and assessments, and organizing course structures within Moodle. The role also manages Moodle administration, including user enrollment, course setup, content organization, permissions, and system troubleshooting, while ensuring a smooth experience for faculty and learners. The Instructional Designer & Moodle Manager collaborates closely with academic staff to support training in instructional best practices, optimize the use of Moodle features, and maintain quality and consistency in course delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Needs Analysis, including identifying learner needs, performance gaps, and program improvement opportunities.
- Candidates should possess solid Instructional Design skills, such as designing learning objectives, selecting appropriate instructional strategies, and creating engaging learning materials.
- Candidates should possess Training & Development skills, including facilitating faculty training, supporting onboarding to Moodle, and promoting effective teaching practices.
- Candidates should possess Learning Management skills, with hands-on experience in Moodle administration, course management, user support, and basic troubleshooting.
- Candidates should possess Curriculum Development skills, including structuring programs, designing course outlines, and aligning assessments with learning outcomes.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field are highly beneficial.
- Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with e-learning authoring tools, knowledge of quality assurance in higher education, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment.
