About the OpportunityThe Skills Development Team is the driving force behind empowering our client’s Commercialization teams with the functional and specialized skills needed to optimize long-term success for our organization’s portfolio of products. As the Learning Capability Lead, you will own the end-to-end planning, development, and continuous improvement of global training solutions that drive the effective adoption of Customer Engagement (CE) platforms.
This is a Hybrid position based out of Uxbridge, requiring at least one day per week on-site. We are seeking a strategic L&D expert with a deep background in life sciences and CRM ecosystems to serve as the primary architect for skills-based learning solutions. You will support Commercial and Medical Field teams, as well as HQ functions, ensuring global alignment and local relevance.

Your Impact and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will bridge the gap between technical CRM capabilities and business performance. You will develop and maintain learning solutions that empower user adoption, productivity, and data-driven decision-making, directly enhancing HCP engagement across the enterprise.
Essential functions include:
- Strategic Partnership: Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and SMEs, ensuring trust and strategic alignment with organizational goals.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as a key liaison between IT system owners, Business stakeholders, and local training leads to align deployment timelines with learning interventions.
- Integrated Collaboration: Partner with the Centre of Excellence, Enterprise Learning, and Business Operations teams to bring an integrated approach to skills development.
- Technical Bridge: Actively participate in CRM, IT, and Business forums to stay ahead of technological transitions, ensuring training content evolves alongside the platform.
- Tactical Design & Development: Lead the development of learner-centric programs and pathways that integrate new technologies and enhancements.
- Asset Creation & Validation: Oversee the macro design and validation of all training materials; coordinate with instructional designers and vendors to deliver high-quality simulations, eLearnings, eBooks, job aids, and video resources.
- Insights-Driven Refinement: Utilize learner feedback, analytics, and business insights to continuously refine training programs and improve the learner experience.
- Global Project Management: Manage the execution of training projects and external vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality, timely, and strategic delivery.
- Version Control & Localization: Coordinate localization of training materials and manage version control across global markets and business units.
- Compliance & Innovation: Oversee compliance, legal, and medical review workflows (e.g., Promomats) while pioneering modern modalities like AI-driven and adaptive learning.
What You Bring - Required Skills- Domain Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in L&D, Digital Enablement, or CRM Systems Training specifically within the Pharma/Life Sciences sector.
- L&D Expertise: Advanced experience in conducting training needs analysis, applying adult learning principles, and managing the full learning design lifecycle.
- Instructional Design: Proven ability to translate complex systems and technical business processes into digestible, high-impact training content.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong knowledge of Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, and LMS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors).
- Matrix Environment: Proven success operating in a complex global cross-matrix environment, collaborating on change management and stakeholder alignment.
- Mindset & Performance: A demonstrated strategic, forward-thinking, agile, and enterprise mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Leadership & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated track record of developing self and others to drive performance, alongside strong solutions-oriented skills.
- Communication: Expertise in professional communication and executive-level presentation.
Bonus Skills- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Project Management certification preferred.
- Modern Modalities: Knowledge of Sana, Storyline, or AI-enhanced training platforms.
- Pharma Compliance: Familiarity with compliance and approval workflows in pharma (e.g., Promomats).
Success Metrics- Timely updates of all CRM training materials and a reduction in content errors/compliance issues.
- Increased accuracy in learner pathway alignment and improvement in learner completion/engagement rates.
- Stakeholder and SME satisfaction with training accuracy, execution, and effectiveness.
