Job Title: Project Manager – Learning & Development (L&D)
Location: Hybrid (Toronto), 4 days in office
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in banking, financial services, or insurance? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and agile professional to join our dynamic Learning & Development team and lead medium-to-high complexity L&D projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of L&D projects, delivering on time and within budget
- Implement learning solutions including ILT, eLearning, webinars, and workshops
- Manage project risks, stakeholder engagement, and vendor onboarding
- Foster strong relationships and maintain regular communications with internal and external stakeholders
- Support development of delivery strategies and launch communications with L&D and business partners
- Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Conduct retrospectives for continuous improvement and apply Agile and SCRUM practices
- Contribute to the project management community through subject matter expertise
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of L&D projects, ensuring training assets are created and aligned with organizational priorities
- Oversee timelines, budgets, and scope for multiple projects
- Engage with stakeholders to provide updates, problem-solve, and mitigate risks
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies and conduct risk management and issue resolution
- Champion accountability and drive projects forward with minimal supervision
- Support Waterfall, Agile, and evolving hybrid project methodologies
- Ensure successful project delivery and continuous improvement
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Project Management experience is essential (5+ years preferred)
- L&D background preferred but not required; experience in insurance, banking, or highly regulated industries considered
- Advanced skills in MS Project for scheduling and tracking
- Familiarity with Confluence and Tableau
- Strong abilities in stakeholder management, problem-solving, risk mitigation, and communication
- Self-sufficient, proactive, and able to hit the ground running
- Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile frameworks (hybrid methodology experience a plus)
