Laridae is seeking an Experience Design Associate to join our team. This is a behind-the-scenes enablement role focused on drafting and preparing materials, supporting delivery readiness, and ensuring strong follow-through so facilitators can deliver high-quality work with care and focus.
This is not a consulting or facilitation role.
You will work closely with facilitators to draft and refine materials, organize systems, and ensure work is fully prepared before sessions and fully completed afterward.
It is an internal role centered on preparation, reliability, and thoughtful execution. Strategic direction and facilitation decisions are guided by facilitators, while content is developed collaboratively.

COMPENSATION
The annual salary for this position is $65,000 CAD.

WORK LOCATION AND STRUCTURE
Laridae is a remote-first organization. This role is open to candidates based in Ontario. Occasional travel within Ontario may be required for in-person client work or team gatherings (approximately 2–4 times per year). All travel costs are reimbursed.
Laridae operates in a bring-your-own-device environment. Team members are expected to use their own computer and mobile phone for work purposes, with access to secure, cloud-based systems and collaboration tools provided by the organization. A monthly tech stipend is provided to offset the cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitation and learning preparation
- Draft, prepare, and refine facilitation and training materials using established templates and standards
- Maintain and update base versions of facilitation materials to ensure consistency across uses
- Customize materials for specific clients or sessions (e.g. agendas, dates, participant context) in partnership with facilitators
- Apply judgment to refine materials within agreed direction, flagging questions or gaps as needed
- Ensure materials are complete, accurate, on-brand, and ready for delivery
Delivery readiness and follow-through
- Own behind-the-scenes research, preparation and follow-through that enables facilitators to focus on delivery
- Anticipate what facilitators will need ahead of sessions and ensure readiness
- Organize outputs and track next steps after sessions and project meetings
- Prompt and follow up with internal team members as needed to ensure work is fully completed
- Ensure work is finished and ready for use, not just started or handed off
Systems, templates, and quality control
- Steward facilitation templates, documents, and shared resources
- Maintain organization, version control, and accessibility across systems
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or duplication in materials and propose practical improvements
- Ensure materials align with Laridae’s brand, tone, and formatting standards
AI-enabled workflows and tools
- Use AI tools to support drafting, preparation, organization, and efficiency
- Apply existing AI-enabled workflows thoughtfully and responsibly
- Exercise strong judgment and attention to detail in all final outputs
- Identify opportunities where AI could improve consistency or reduce repetitive work
Occasional live-session support
- In some circumstances, and based on team capacity and need, attend in-person or virtual sessions to build context for preparation and follow-through
- Capture key decisions or language when present
SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
Core capabilities
- High attention to detail, with pride in producing accurate, polished, and reliable work
- Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Comfort drafting and refining materials in partnership with others
- Ability to work independently while staying aligned with a collaborative team
- Clear written communication and confidence asking questions or flagging issues early
Technical skills and tools
- Strong working knowledge of common productivity tools (e.g. Google Workspace, shared drives, slide decks, Slack)
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g. Zoho CRM or similar)
- Experience using project management tools (e.g. Zoho Projects or similar)
- Experience using design and layout tools for preparing materials (e.g. Canva)
AI-enabled work
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to support drafting, summarizing, organizing, and refining content
- Curiosity about how AI can improve efficiency, consistency, and quality
- Strong judgment when using AI, with attention to accuracy, tone, confidentiality, and accountability
- Understanding of the limitations and risks of AI and the importance of human review
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Supporting facilitation, training, or learning delivery
- Administrative, coordination, operations, or enablement roles
- Working in a small team or professional services environment
- Supporting facilitators or other client-facing professionals
- Using AI or automation tools as part of regular work
