Summary
The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for assessing organizational training needs, designing and delivering effective learning programs, and supporting employee development initiatives that align with strategic goals and mission forward values identification of future leaders to ensure organizational alignment. This role will partner closely with HR, departmental leaders, and subject matter experts to create learning solutions that support business objectives and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Starting Rate: $97,836/annually - $128,731/annually - $167,351/annually
Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the United Stated immediately. This position is not available for H1-B visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Experience leading end to end training and organizational development initiatives, including competency design, career pathing, and long term talent development strategies.
- Partner with leaders to understand capability requirements and future skill needs.
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify knowledge and skills gaps and develop appropriate training programs to address them.
- Collaborate and support HR, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure training content is relevant, accurate and up to date.
- Create and maintain training materials, including presentations, handouts, and e-learning modules.
- Deliver training sessions in a variety of formats, including classroom-based sessions, virtual instructor-led training, and e-learning modules.
- Support organizational development initiatives such as leadership development, career pathways, succession planning, and competency modeling.
- Assist with employee engagement programs, mentorship frameworks, and organizational culture initiatives.
- Manage the quality of program/content design and delivery while ensuring a measurement strategy is in place to assess the effectiveness of the core skill curriculum.
- Provide feedback and coaching to participants to ensure they can apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in training and development.
- Responsible for the coordination of learning and development programs, including scheduling and logistics, participant registration and confirmation, and tracking participation and completion.
- Communicate with program participants and instructors to confirm attendance and ensure timely and accurate delivery of program materials.
- Monitor and maintain learning and development program records, including participant information, program evaluations, and feedback from instructors and participants.
- Ensure required compliance training programs are delivered and tracked.
- Provide regular reports on training completion, program effectiveness, and learning metrics.
- Supervise instructional designer (and facilitators as needed).
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 5+ years of L&D, or HR experience in mid to large size organizations.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage participants and deliver training in a variety of formats.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Proficiency in using e-learning software and other training tools. Workday experience highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to manage a team of training professionals and work independently ensuring high performance and alignment with departmental priorities.
