Job Description
Our People team is dedicated to helping colleagues realise their full potential. We are seeking a proactive HR Business Partner who can identify, plan, and address the people needs of our diverse organisation. As a trusted expert, you will forge strong relationships, offer constructive feedback, and drive performance by acting as a strategic enabler for our people agenda.
Partnering closely with Directors and Leadership Teams in our Finance and Legal & Business Assurance functions, you will shape and deliver the people strategy for your business area, ensuring our solutions are both commercially focussed and aligned to Heathrow’s vision and strategic priorities.
Join us and play a key role in developing and implementing initiatives that foster a thriving culture, build leadership capability, nurture talent pipelines, and maximise engagement across Heathrow.
Your role will involve
- Collaborating with Directors and Leadership Teams to design and execute people plans that optimise investment in talent and drive organisational performance in the short to medium term.
- Coaching, challenging, and influencing business leaders to enhance colleague and team performance, foster high engagement, and build a culture aligned with Heathrow's Behaviours and Values.
- Interpreting business strategies to diagnose people-related implications and develop clear, actionable people strategies that support function objectives.
- Providing expert advice and support across key People activities, partnering with Centres of Excellence and other Business Partners to ensure consistency and share best practice.
- Owning strategic workforce planning and talent management, including succession planning, and deliver effective change management projects to ensure sustained outcomes and realised benefits.
These Skills Are Essential
- Demonstrable business partnering experience with senior leadership teams with a proven track record of coaching and developing people, teams, functions to higher performance
- Experience and knowledge of all aspects of HR including Employee Relations, Organisational Design, Resourcing, Talent Management and Reward preferably in a unionised environment
- Experience of delivering of robust, commercial HR solutions across a complex environment
- In depth experience in managing and embedding Change from an HR perspective
- Relevant HR qualification or equivalent work experience

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow . Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
