As our HR & L&D Intern, you'll split your time 50/50 between:
1. General HR support for several Publicis Groupe agencies (mainly in the PR space), and
2. National Learning & Development support for our Publicis Groupe Canada L&D team
You’ll gain hands‑on exposure across HR operations, employee experience, talent development, and program delivery - all while working with some of Canada’s most award‑winning communications agencies. This is a paid, full‑time internship with the potential to convert into a permanent role based on performance and business need.
Responsibilities
HR Support (Approx. 50%)
Using your organizational superpowers, warm communication style, and “two‑steps‑ahead” instincts, you’ll help keep our agencies running smoothly:
Employee Experience, Onboarding & Offboarding
- Support a best‑in‑class onboarding experience, partnering with HR, IT, Facilities, and hiring managers to ensure new hires start strong
- Assist with offboarding coordination, equipment tracking, and documentation
- Scheduling and administration of agency level training initiatives
- Assist with coordination and set up of staff meetings
HR Administration & Operations
- Support HR data accuracy by maintaining HRIS records, updates, and documentation in partnership with our HR Operations Team
- Assist with employment letters, background checks, time‑off tool management, and compliance tracking
- Help manage freelancer contract tracking and alignment with agency systems
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Support with administration of quarterly agency roundtable meetings
- Partner with agency social committees to help plan internal events, team activities, and culture‑building programming
- Support periodic reporting to Finance, HR Operations, and Leadership
Learning & Development Support (Approx. 50%)
You’ll become an integral part of our national L&D team - a group that moves quickly, thinks entrepreneurially, and loves building experiences that help our people grow. Excitement about service and customer satisfaction is a key contributor to your success.
Program Coordination & Logistics
- Coordinate virtual, in‑person, and recorded training sessions
- Act as production support during sessions, including set up, tear down and various errands related to the execution of programming
Learning Systems & Documentation
- Maintain training records, attendance, and program archives
- Track and triage L&D requests from business leaders
Creative & Content Support
- Assist in creating slide decks, learning assets, communications, and internal marketing materials promoting L&D offerings
- Support training design updates and materials development
Insights & Reporting
- Help gather feedback, track participation, and compile insights to improve learning experiences across Canada
Qualifications
You have a basic understanding of the HR space, either through school or a previous internship. But mostly, you are curious, driven, and comfortable with fast‑paced environments. In addition, you have a passion for the intersection of people and technology, and how AI can support this in ethical and innovative ways. You love to learn new skills, don’t shy away from experimentation and are always looking for new ways to do things.

Salary
Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is $ 38,000.00-$ 45,000.00 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
