Are you a strategic Learning and Development leader ready to shape learning at scale? Join Elysium Healthcare as the Lead Learning & Development Partner to play a pivotal role in driving Elysium’s learning and development strategy. This role leads and manages a team of Regional Learning and Development Partners, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement in learning delivery across all sites.
Acting as the strategic interface between the central Learning and Development function and senior operational leaders, including Operations Directors, Regional Service Directors, Hospital Directors and onsite leadership teams, you will ensure each region has a coherent, insight‑driven, and strategically prioritised learning plan. Your focus will be on enhancing capability, supporting safe and effective care, and addressing operational and regulatory priorities.
You will oversee the accuracy and completion of training matrices and lead organisation‑wide learning needs analyses and capability assessments to inform strategic workforce planning. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support succession planning, leadership development, and wider strategic initiatives, ensuring learning activity is aligned with business need and evaluated for impact.
Through strong governance, performance analysis, and the effective allocation of Learning and Development resources, you will ensure learning interventions drive measurable improvements in capability, performance, and growth across Elysium Healthcare.

This is a hybrid role, with occasional travel to the office/Elysium sites as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the team of Regional L&D Partners to ensure alignment and consistency across all sites.
- Oversee the completion and maintenance of training matrices across the organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of learning practices and delivery.
- Conduct and produce group-wide Learning Needs Analyses (LNA) and capability assessments.
- Support the design and implementation of succession planning and leadership development programmes.
- Contribute to and allocate L&D resources for strategic projects.
- Analyse quality and performance data to identify trends and forecast improvements.
- Ensure all learning activities are compliant, consistent, and aligned with business objectives.
- Implement and monitor evaluation frameworks to measure the impact of learning interventions.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
- Proven experience in a similar learning and development role, within a complex and health care environment, as well as managing and developing Learning and Development teams or regional partners.
- Strong experience of working at a strategic level, managing change and multiple projects within Learning and Development
- Proven experience of Learning Management Systems (preferably Totara)
- Track record of leading Learning and Development projects and initiatives
- Experience in conducting LNAs and evaluating training impact
- Familiarity with working across multiple sites or regions
- Track record of delivering impactful learning strategies and leadership development programmes.
- Experience working with performance data and using insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Competent coaching and mentoring skills.
- Experience of clinical and non-clinical training needs in healthcare
- Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Familiarity with Learning and Development frameworks, compliance standards, governance and Learning Needs Analysis (LNA)
- Achieved CIPD level 5 in Learning and Development or equivalent and Education and Training Award or equivalent
- Proven experience of evaluating training to demonstrate learning and Return on Investment.
- Desirable: Coaching Practitioner Qualifications and Psychometric Practitioner Qualification
