Role Objective:
To lead the full lifecycle of training and development initiatives across the Group. This includes managing and recruiting apprentices and graduates, creating innovative learning programmes, and implementing, monitoring, and delivering training activities that support continuous skill development and organisational growth.
Responsible For:
Designing, implementing, and managing tailored training programmes for apprentices, graduates, and existing employees. The role involves close collaboration with departmental leaders to ensure individuals receive the skills, guidance, and support needed to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a company-wide training strategy aligned with organisational goals and compliance requirements, including:
- Creating a high-quality apprentice, graduate, and trainee recruitment and development programme.
- Conducting training needs analyses to identify skills gaps, prioritise development areas, and produce actionable plans.
- Ensure participants acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to progress in their roles.
- Coordinate and deliver training activities efficiently, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with apprentices, graduates, mentors, managers, and external training providers.
- Continuously assess and enhance the relevance and effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Identify suitable career fairs, organise attendance, and support apprentice and graduate recruitment activities.
Key Tasks:
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programmes covering onboarding, health & safety, technical skills, leadership development, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare engaging training materials, including structured on-the-job training plans and professional presentations.
- Liaise with external trainers, suppliers, and industry specialists to support specific training needs.
- Ensure all training meets relevant regulatory and industry standards.
- Maintain training records and certification data for audits and compliance purposes.
- Work with departments to identify role-specific training needs for apprentices, graduates, and current staff.
- Plan and organise workshops, training sessions, and site visits.
- Act as a primary point of contact for programme participants, offering support, guidance, and mentorship.
- Support internal mentors responsible for developing apprentices and graduates.
- Track participant progress, conduct regular reviews, and facilitate feedback sessions.
- Manage relationships with colleges, training providers, and awarding bodies.
- Maintain accurate attendance and training data, producing reports on programme performance.
- Gather and analyse feedback on training content and delivery to recommend improvements.
- Advise senior leaders on strategic learning and development initiatives.
- Provide support to the HR Manager as needed.

Qualifications:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent (desirable).
- Strong understanding of UK apprenticeship standards and graduate development frameworks.
