Our client, a global top-10 global Sovereign Wealth Fund based in the Middle East, is seeking a senior professional to join its Human Capital Division, playing a key role in driving their Learning & Development strategy across the organisation.
This is a senior role with broad scope, responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning programs that enhance leadership capability, technical excellence, and organisational performance. The position involves developing strategic learning frameworks, managing external partners, and advising senior leadership on development initiatives that support the sovereign wealth fund's long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning & Capability Strategy:
- Define and execute the Learning & Talent Development strategy in alignment with the Fund’s Human Capital and business objectives.
- Partner with business and functional leaders to identify capability gaps and design targeted learning interventions.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable development programs that enhance organizational effectiveness and agility.
Leadership & Talent Development:
- Design and implement leadership development frameworks covering emerging, mid-level, and senior leadership tiers.
- Support succession and talent reviews by translating outcomes into actionable development plans.
- Create and oversee programs for high-potential talent, technical experts, and future leaders, ensuring strong linkage to performance and career progression.
Organizational Capability & Culture:
- Embed learning as a core element of organizational culture through communication, digital learning platforms, and leadership engagement.
- Introduce innovative learning methodologies such as coaching, mentoring, peer learning, and experiential programs.
- Collaborate with the Talent, Performance, and Engagement teams to build a cohesive employee development ecosystem.
Strategic Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing insight on leadership effectiveness, capability gaps, and workforce readiness.
- Engage with functional heads (e.g., Investments, Risk, Finance, Operations) to align learning priorities with business strategy.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that build alignment between business goals and people development outcomes.
Learning Design, Measurement & Impact:
- Oversee the design of blended learning solutions, integrating classroom, digital, and experiential components.
- Implement data-driven evaluation frameworks to measure learning effectiveness, impact, and ROI.
- Continuously refine programs based on participant feedback, business outcomes, and market benchmarking.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 9 - 15 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, ideally within Financial Services, Asset Management, or a Sovereign Wealth Fund environment.
