Blood Sciences in Synnovis have recently undergone a significant transformation to Hub and Spoke model including a refresh of all analytical equipment to Sysmex, Biorad and Abbott. The team have also introduced digital morphology with the Scopio platform. The division is now looking to deliver a harmonised training programme across all 7 sites including our Blackfriars Hub and 6 hospital based ESLs. This program will develop a multi skills approach across Blood Sciences including Blood Transfusion for all our staff roles. The programme will be led by the Operational teams and Training Leads.
As a Training Lead, you will support the Operations Managers in the delivery of training and development within their Service Line. Reporting to the Deputy Operations Service Director (DOSD) and collaborating with the Apprenticeship and Scientific Development (ASD) Team. You will have a high level of responsibility to ensure the successful delivery of training and development including induction, laboratory-based competencies and professional training for scientists in line with our corporate objectives.
You Will Work Closely With Apprenticeships & Scientific Development Tem And Operational Management Team To Ensure The Effective Delivery And Reporting Of Training And Development In Your Department. Key Accountabilities Will Include
- Participate in the delivery of the training and development framework including development of training materials and competency compliance
- Work with DOSD to identify skills gaps and plan training for all roles in your department to meet the requirements of the Target Operating Model (TOM).
- Provide relevant training documentation and support the accreditation process for all professional bodies such as, the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), National School of Healthcare Science (NSHCS), UKAS
- Create and deliver training for HCPC registration and further professional specialist training, including participating in Synnovis IBMS Portfolio and Clinical Science equivalence training programmes
- Collate information and compile Training reports for the Operational Management Team.
- Part of collaborative network of ASD Team and Training Leads across Synnovis
- Organise and deliver training to ensure employee compliance for laboratory-based competencies and statutory/mandatory for department.
- Ensure training records are developed and managed across the Service line.
