Position Overview
We are seeking a deadline-driven Instructional Designer to join our team on a contract basis through December 31, 2025. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Articulate Storyline (SL), experienced in partnering with subject matter experts (SMEs), and capable of producing and editing engaging learning videos. This role requires a strong ability to translate complex content into clear, interactive, and effective learning experiences, while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SMEs to design and develop engaging instructional content aligned with client needs and learning objectives.
- Build SCORM-compliant eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline and other authoring tools.
- Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) to ensure content effectiveness and learner engagement.
- Edit and integrate video elements into eLearning and blended solutions, ensuring professional quality.
- Develop storyboards, scripts, and visual layouts to guide course production.
- Ensure deliverables meet accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG 2.1).
- Manage deadlines and deliver projects on time with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure consistency, quality, and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of professional instructional design experience.
- Proficiency in Articulate Storyline; experience with Rise 360 is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with SMEs and stakeholders.
- Strong video editing skills (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools).
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and eLearning standards.
- Excellent project management and time management skills; ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
