The Role:
We're looking for a passionate and proactive Learning & Development Specialist to support our Customer Operations teams. Based in our Leeds city center site, this role is ideal for someone early in their L&D career who's eager to make a difference by helping our advisors grow through engaging training programs and continuous development.
You'll work closely with the Customer Operations leadership team to deliver impactful onboarding, refresher, and skills-based training. You may also contribute to broader L&D initiatives across the business, supporting our commitment to learning and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and support induction programs for new joiners in the Customer Operations team
- Facilitate impactful learning sessions and coaching initiatives that drive performance and engagement
- Assist in designing and delivering training modules focused on customer service, collections, underwriting, and soft skills
- Collaborate with team leads to identify training needs and help build tailored learning plans
- Maintain training schedules and calendars, ensuring timely delivery of sessions
- Support the creation and updating of training materials and resources
- Enable the deployment of learning initiatives, track performance and impact measures, and support continuous improvement through data-led insights
- Help coordinate logistics for training sessions, including room bookings, materials, and tech setup
- Contribute to company-wide L&D initiatives when needed, including compliance and regulatory training
- Monitor training effectiveness through feedback and basic evaluation methods
- Maintain relationships with external training providers and vendors as required
Requirements
- Proven L&D experience (2+ years) in high-growth or fast-paced environments—ideally with experience in fintech, banking or digitally native sectors
- Passionate about helping others learn and grow
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on business outcomes and performance impact
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Strong stakeholder management, credibility and influencing skills—especially at senior levels
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of FCA principles and Treating Customers Fairly is desirable
- Experience with content management and learning management systems
