Senior Learning & Development Specialist - €600-650 per day
Irish Government Department requires a Senior IT Learning & Development (L & D) Specialist to help deliver an MS Dynamics Case Management Solution (CMS) for its staff.
The Department is currently implementing a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case Management Solution (CMS) for the handling and resolution of customer and the Senior L & D Specialist will play a key role in the delivery of same by designing and delivering training programmes for Departmental staff.
In the course of their role, the Senior L & D Specialist will work closely with technical and business teams to carry out training needs analysis and develop user-centric training modules. Ideal candidate will have previous experience working on MS Dynamics Case Management Solution (CMS) development projects, preferably gained in an Agile environment.
This a hybrid role, with the candidate attending the Departments offices in central Dublin 2 days per Calander week. Occasional attendance at may also be required at the Department’s offices in the Irish Midlands.
While initially offered on a 12-month contract basis, there is a strong probability of this role being extended well beyond this timeframe.
Responsibilities of Role
- Cary out training needs assessments
- Develop and deliver training sessions (face to face or virtual) related to MS Dynamics CMS system.
- Prepare and maintain course material using modern tools, like Canvas or Moodle
- Maintain training material, video content and Documentation to train the business users.
- Collaborate with internal and external users to implement training courses and learnings related to modern web applications.
- Optimise user training needs and provide hands on support for business readiness while on boarding new users into the CMS application.
- Gather user feedback to assess training effectiveness for continuous improvements.
- Maintain and improve training content relevant to product roadmap and application release.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our products remain modern and competitive
- Ensuring the user adoption of CMS application, Providing hands-on support during and after CMS business users on boarding
Essential Candidate Requirements
- Third Level degree in Business, IT or other area relevant to the role (Level
- 7 or above)
- Postgraduate or professional certification related to Learning & Development
- Project management certification OR significant experience in an Agile environment
- 7+ years of experience in the delivery of IT related learning and development programmes (Depending on the context, time spent working as a project manager may also satisfy the 7-year experience requirement)
- Ability to lead a high performing team of professionals, including the
- Coordination of contributions from a range of different IT/Business specialists to complete a joint project.
- Strong theoretical understanding of learning & development methodology
- Proven track record of utilising of digitally enhanced, instructor-led resources to successfully deliver technology-based learning and development programmes – This should include delivering ICT application training to end users (Including non-technical)
- Experience with working part of agile team in delivering modern complex web applications to suit end user training needs and requirements.
- Strong understanding of and previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics, MS Azure and MS DevOps
- Highly proficient in the use Training tools such as Canvas App and Moodle in building and rolling out Training modules
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Resident in Ireland and ability to be in Dublin City Centre on a 2 day per week basis or to occasionally visit sites in the Midlands when required.
