Learning Specialist
The Learning and Development team at Codan/Conyers is seeking a Learning Specialist to join our team and be an important contributor to our success through innovative thinking, problem solving and building strong relationships. The successful candidate will work with various stakeholders and departments to ensure that training initiatives align with the firm's goals and objectives. They will be responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement.
· Develop and deliver training workshops on various topics, including technical rollouts, upskills and other firm projects.
· Create training manuals, presentations and videos, e-learning modules.
· Provide one-on-one coaching and support to employees as needed.
· Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee progress and act as administrator in the Learning Management System.
· Coordinate our global on-boarding program, including scheduling sessions, delivering training, tracking progress and conducting follow ups.
· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve training offerings.
· Support continuous learning through monthly training events, tech tips, and work with Service Desk team to identify trends.
What You’ll Need
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
· Proven experience in training and development, preferably within a law firm or legal environment.
· Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Document Management, Timekeeping, Billing; and other technologies commonplace in law firms.
· Familiarity with system administration of Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone would be an advantage).
· Experience using eLearning design software such as Articulate and video editing tools such as Camtasia (or equivalent).
