Job Title: Head of Learning and Development

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic professional to join a leading institution as the Head of Learning and Development. This role is perfect for an individual passionate about delivering high-quality learning experiences and growing successful training programs. You will oversee the Learning and Accreditation functions, drive business development, and lead a dedicated team to achieve strategic growth targets while nurturing strong client relationships in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Growth: Lead the implementation of the organisation's learning and development growth strategy, ensuring annual business plans and KPIs are achieved.
- Business Development: Identify new opportunities, develop tailored training programs, and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Course Delivery: Oversee the design and delivery of high-quality learning services, leveraging the latest industry developments to meet client needs effectively.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing team aligned with core organisational values, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Financial Oversight: Prepare budgets, track sales forecasts, and ensure the success of a profitable business unit focused on long-term sustainability.

Essential Skills:
- Proven ability to understand and align clients' business objectives with tailored learning needs.
- Expertise in designing and delivering top-tier blended and digital learning experiences.
- A commercial mindset with experience in budgeting, P&L responsibilities, and business growth.
- Team leadership and performance management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive a team.
- Strong business development and relationship-building capabilities across diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with international clients, especially within small to medium business environments.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with professional bodies, particularly in environmental management, would be great, but is not essential, a desire to work in this industry will suffice
- Experience using digital learning platforms
