A typical day for the eLearning Experience and Facilitation Specialist
- Delivering informative and engaging virtual webinars and in person sessions that support pension plan members and clients in making informed decisions.
- Helping members and employers understand pension benefits and processes by providing clear, accurate, and timely information.
- Collaborating with clients and team members to design practical and innovative educational resources that meet member needs.
- Developing customized eLearning solutions that strengthen learning outcomes, which may include: instructional design, online training development, storyboard creation, content development, platform integration, graphic design.
What you bring
- At least two years of experience facilitating workshops or seminars for diverse audiences
- Strong facilitation skills and familiarity with best practices in adult learning
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive and respectful interactions
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and 2-3 years experience in eLearning design and LMS experience
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience in instructional design and eLearning content development
- Familiarity with pension plans administered by APS, including relevant legislation and regulations
- Advanced skills in Articulate (Storyline), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong comprehension of LMS technology
- Knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint Online tools and resources
- Solid understanding of best practices for the use of technology-mediated learning.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize work and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment within tight timelines
- Ability to understand complex information and re-write it in a suitable learning format
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license; use of a personal vehicle is required
- Travel in Alberta is a requirement of this position
