API is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team for a 19-month temporary contract. The role will support project delivery by attending meetings, taking minutes, and tracking action items to ensure follow-through. They will maintain project tools such as Monday boards and help monitor progress against timelines and deliverables. The coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to keep projects organized and on track. Additionally, they will act as a secondary point of awareness for key issues, improving continuity and reducing reliance on senior PMO leaders.
This is a 1.0 FTE role within our PMO function, with one vacancy available in the team; candidates who are better suited at a Project Manager level are encouraged to apply to the Project Manager posting.

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Project Planning and Scheduling
- Assist the Project Manager in developing project timelines and schedules, coordinating subcontractor and supplier activities, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Communication
- Serve as a central point of contact for all project stakeholders, facilitating meetings, providing daily progress reports, and escalating issues as needed.
Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, project drawings, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Budget & Cost Tracking
- Work with Finance Staff to monitor project expenditures, track expenses, and assist in preparing financial reports to help control costs and keep projects within budget.
Risk management & Problem-Solving
- Identify potential delays or issues and work with the team to find solutions to keep the project on track.
Support
- Assist the Translational Services Team on project-related activities.
Qualifications - (Education, Certification, Degree, Skills, Knowledge, etc.)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or relevant field.
Experience
- 2-5 years of managing projects or supporting project operations.

Working Conditions:
- Required travel between Edmonton API sites.
