Learning and Development Consultant – Remote in Canada
In this role you will be reporting to the Assistant Manager, Learning & Development as part of our People & Culture team, where you will be responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of insurance specific training programs that support the improvement of business outcomes and organizational performance.
Here Is What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Facilitating training program for classroom, web conferencing, and e-learning program
- Create training programs to engage employees with the vision and values of Western.
- Researching, organizing, editing, creating, and delivering training content and materials
- Ensuring full learning cycle, curriculum design, development, execution, and review
- Scheduling, recording, delivering, evaluating, and updating training
- Conducting training needs analyses for learning initiatives
- Monitoring, evaluating, recording, and updating training activities and program effectiveness
- Designing training benchmarks, effort and cost, and suggest buy versus build opportunities for learning
The value you bring
- Level 2 Insurance License required
- CAIB an asset
- 2 years experience in the Insurance Industry an asset
- Experience as a coach or trainer to other team members
- Excellent interpersonal skills with advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
- Post-secondary degree or diploma; course work in Adult Education, Instructional Design, and/or Insurance/Business; equivalent or combination of education and experience
- Certified Training Professional (CTP) or Certified Training & Development Professional (CTDP) an asset
