The Role
The Senior Learning, Talent & Organisational Development Coordinator sits within the GBS HR team, supporting the Learning & Talent (L&T) and Organisational Development (OD) function in delivering key global programmes, projects and initiatives. The role acts as a central coordination point, ensuring high-quality, consistent and efficient delivery across learning, leadership and talent development activity. There is a strong focus on cross-collaboration, with opportunities to contribute to broader HR initiatives and global projects.
The Team
The Global Business Services (GBS) HR team, based in Glasgow, delivers high-quality operational and strategic HR support globally. Working closely with Centres of Excellence (CoEs) including Learning & Talent and Organisational Development, the team enables consistent, scalable people solutions.
This role works in close partnership with OD and Learning & Talent teams and collaborates widely with regional HR teams, Legal Delivery, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Early Careers, driving global consistency and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of learning programmes, leadership initiatives, workshops and OD interventions.
- Manage scheduling, logistics, communications and participant experience.
- Provide technical support for virtual and in-person sessions (e.g. Teams, polls, breakout rooms).
- Support facilitation and co-delivery of sessions where appropriate.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all programme delivery.
- Manage shared mailboxes, responding to colleague queries efficiently and coordinating necessary follow-up actions.
Project & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with L&T Managers and Advisors to support strategic priorities and projects, including talent development initiatives, annual learning cycles, and global programmes.
- Take ownership of specific project streams, ensuring timelines, stakeholder engagement, and outcomes are met.
- Track progress, manage actions and escalate risks or blockers.
- Support OD and L&T project leads with research, data gathering and presentation development.
- Lead selected project calls and occasionally co-chair internal working sessions where scope is clear and agreed.
Systems & Data Management
- Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate data entry, content curation, and regular housekeeping.
- Ensure accurate data management, reporting and quality assurance.
- Use Excel and key systems such as survey platform, recognition platform, Mentimeter, SharePoint page builder and MS Teams to produce metrics and insights to support programme evaluation and decision-making.
- Use digital tools and automation to drive efficiency and improve user experience.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Build strong working relationships across HR, the business and global stakeholders.
- Act as a key contact for queries, providing guidance on processes, systems and programmes.
- Draft and coordinate communications to promote L&T and OD initiatives.
- Liaise with external suppliers and manage relationships where required.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Support workload prioritisation and coordination across programmes.
- Promote best practice, consistency and continuous improvement.
- Manage shared inboxes, budgets, invoices and operational processes.
- Contribute to knowledge management and process optimisation.
Leadership & Team Development
- Support the prioritisation and allocation of team workloads, helping to manage scheduling and coordination across programmes and projects to ensure smooth delivery and service continuity.
- Provide informal coaching and guidance to Coordinators, acting as a point of support on specific projects, systems, and processes.
- Assist with quality assurance and consistency across team outputs, helping to embed best practices and continuous improvement in coordination and administration.
- Act as a point of contact for operational queries or challenges, escalating where necessary and ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with Managers and Advisors.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Learning & Talent, training or Organisational Development coordination role, ideally within a professional services or corporate environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with experience managing multiple programmes and priorities.
- Confident working with a Learning Management Systems and digital learning platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI desirable)
- Experience supporting the full learning cycle: design, delivery, scheduling, and evaluation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a global team and across departments.
